hello. I’m new here and an ebody guy.

I found a 68 Coronet buried in the woods and I’m trying to figure out what it could be as I couldn’t get to the vin or fender tag. It is all original down to the hubcaps.

It’s a post car, with the teardrop bulge hood, rally instruments, I don’t know if the speedo is 150, it does have a tic-toc-tach, manual trans, with no badges on the quarters or R/T on the fenders.

What models had the bulge hood?

Thanks

With you stating it is the 68 Coronet body style with the post, then it would be a 68 Super Bee. There would not be no emblems as those cars used the tail strip and it could have been a stripe delete which would have left you with the Bee decal on the quarters. The Super Bees in 68 used the Rally dash and the tach/clock would have been an option. It would have been either a 383 or 426 for the 68 model year. Good find if the body is ok.

Thank you.

Then it is likely a bee. It’s wedged in trees pinning the hood shut and the windshield is clouded too far to see the vin.

The body is straight but like Swiss cheese for everything below the hubs.

I think it has been there since the 70s. There’s a completely destroyed and 100% complete 70 Satellite nearby with 71 plates. The 70s gas tank and trunk floor are gone, roof has holes, etc. but it’s complete.

Can ya get some pics? And welcome to the site!

Awesome find. Unfortunately even in CO, I bet there won't be anything left of the undersides from sitting on dirt for so many years.

I’m going back for the Bee.

What can you tell me to look for on a 68 Super Bee? I’m bringing a saw and cash.

Beyond that, when I complete my business I’ll pass the info on the deal via PM to whoever wants to pursue the cars I don’t buy. The cars aren’t in Colorado.

Thanks!

If you can get a look at the vin.... and it is a Bee and the 5th digit is a J youve hit the jackpot.
