1968 Dodge Charger Door Panel Emblem

1968 Dodge Charger Door Panel Emblem: The round emblem has the word Charger in the middle. Are the Charger letters silver or black? I thought they were originally black. Year One says silver in 1968, black in 1970. What is correct? Thanks!

i am going to say silver, as my 69's [which are original to the car] are black.
i could be wrong, so if i am, hopefully someone can correct me !
