1968 roadrunner breather cap color?

I have seen chrome and black breathers on 1968 roadrunners with the 383. Which one is correct from the factory? I have both. Just want it to be correct. Thanks in advance.

I can say for sure that the’68Bees were chrome.

Don't know but maybe black because of there taxi cab image in 68.

I am leaning towards black myself. The air cleaner housing is black and there isn’t another spec of chrome under the hood so it makes sense to me.

I'm going with black on painted valve covers.
