I have a 1968 GTX with bucket seats. I want to add headrests and have purchased the headrests and a mounting kit.
From searching the site but not really finding what I want - the 1968 seats should have the mounting points, holes and bracing. Correct?
I read in another post early 1968 seats will not be set up to just fit the headrests.
Can someone post some detail pictures of the seat frames and bracing required for the headrests.
Also if you have them close up detail shots of how the mounts and headrests are fitted.
To me a picture is worth a thousand words.
Any other info appreciated.
Thanks Steve

This is a 68 seat back that has the ability to add headrests but did not come equipped from the factory

My 68 Charger has a Dec 67 build date so not the earliest but it did in fact have the holes in the seat backs for the head rests. Also the holes for shoulder harness of which I added both. You do need the hardware so should have what you need.

Perfect thanks Dan for the photographs that is just what I was looking for - that answers my question about the frames. My seats are easy to identify from your photos.
Thanks guys.

Anyone got pictures of the hardware kit fitted?
I assume the black plastic guides are held in the seat frame by self tapping screws?
What stops them falling out?
I mean the 8 black guides of 2 different types.

I also have 4 spring plates but I think I know were they go from Dan's photos.
Also figured out the upper white bushes from photos.

Thanks Dan. I also did a search but did not find those pictures.
Sounds like my car will have the frame with the required holes etc.
Should not be to hard to figure something out from there.
