Don't want to be a pest here, but where would be a good a site, or place to pick up a 1969 E440 HP block or complete engine? I have been on all different sites (First time here) and can not find a single one to what I am looking for. I am looking for one that is a complete 6-pack setup or just the block or engine that needs to be rebuild. I wasted so much time looking though sites that I am hoping someone here can steer me in the right direction. Also, why are there so many 67', 68', 70'ect.. engines to chose from as compared to the availability of an 69' engine. Just not many around anymore?
Thanks in Advance

Welcome. Finding a complete 6 pack engine would be like finding hen’s teeth. You might eventually find an HP block or engine in the classified adds here. Im guessing you have a car that would’ve came with a HP 440. Im going to tell you dont bother looking for a specific year or and HP. If its not the original block it adds no value and if your going to rebuild it your mostly going to replace all the parts that made it HP except the stamping on the identification pad. Just find you a complete 440 from a car with all the correct brackets and pulleys and rebuild it to whatever specs you desire.

Agree on multipe points above.

...and I'll add that 1969 is considered by many as the most desirable year, and therefore more difficult to find in your case.

Maybe post a WTB ad here on FBBO, and the sister sites.

Here is an add for a 69 block- it is a ways away from you though in eastern Wa state-

Mopar parts

For sure..... and if you did find one, you'd need nothing short of a Mopar Forecsic Scientist to verify it. I'd bet its easier to find hen's teeth than it would be to find a complete six pack engine, FOR SALE, that hasnt been messed with and devalued in one way or another. Same goes with Max Wedge.

It sure wouldnt be advertised on just some web site or other..... Facebook Marketplace lol

If you weren't looking for a block people would be stopping by everyday offering you some for $100 each. They are out there, and fairly local to you, it just takes time. Ask every Mopar buddy you can think of, every time you see them, and sooner or later someone will come thru. It's hard to buy a block 1,000 miles away, sight unseen, and have to pay good money for it. It's just hard to get a warm and fuzzy feeling about it.

A dear friend died 9 years ago and left a 1970 E440 (casting date 2-26-69) at my shop. Out of a C body, (not an HP), I think I honed it to about .030” to take out the ring groove and check the wear. It has been totally stripped for rebuild and cleaned up. I thought when one of his other friends needed it I would give it to them on his behalf. It hasn't happened yet. I need to dispose of it someday before I croak too. I don't need it. Some guy came by one day and gave me a 1975 440 truck block so if I ever want to build a 440 I've got one. I'm thinking when blocks get to $1,000 and someone comes by here with the cash I'll take it and give the money to his widow.
