question; what is the proper color orange for the engine of a big block in a Road Runner, GTX.... 383 or 440 or Hemi...manufacture and exact color?

I know I see and hear some paint will not cover well, others are too "red", too "orange" ......Sonny is asking the experts ..
we are almost ready to paint the block. need feedback to get it correct.

If you go to the parts counter at the dealership, they will sell you the engine paint in a rattle can. Inexpensive, easy to use, and spot on for the color. No guessing with a recipe from the paint shop.

You want the street hemi orange and not the race hemi orange. I like the Mopar stuff in the white/black/blue cans.

Here ya go

Sonny, In the past, Mitch has taken a correct sample of the paint color to the Auto Paint Supplier and bought Single Stage Urethane. Worked really well on the three or four I have done that with. Stays very shiny and is a tough finish

Mopar rattle can is really good paint.

The problem I see with the Mopar spray paint of Hemi orange color is 9 out of 10 cans wont spray and I got tired of them not working so I used Dupli-Color hemi orange on the eng in my 63 right now. Ron
