I have a Carter Carb that came off my 69 Charger SE w/ 383 330 horsepower that was incorrect, I replaced it with the correct Holley 4440 so here we are. The car only had 55K original miles when the resto started and according to the original owner it was replaced about 5K miles before he stopped driving it. The car has the wrong trans when he "had it "rebuilt", (swapped for a 71 pass car trans) and another shop "rebuilt" the heads but swapped them for 77 452 heads and they convinced that it didn't run right because it needed this carb but it still didn't run as he remembered. According to what he told us, the carb was a rebuild and has about 5K miles on it, it was running on the car for a few years but has not been operated since 2000 since it was in storage so a kit w/nitrile seals would be recommended w/ the new gas anyway.
The carb is a clean CA unit with minimal surface rust in the rods and would be a quick and easy resto for someone looking for an original 383 HP AVS, look at the date code to see if it's what you need.
I'm looking to get $300 plus the ride and will throw in a SS fuel line I bought before I realized it wasn't the right carb for my car. PM me with your zip for a shipping price. Thanks, John
