i may have found another car that i have been looking for,so,i am putting this out there. 1969 coronet 440 hardtop. documented,36,*** original mile car.all paperwork back to new. 1-owner car. had a repaint in it's original hue, late 70's. 318/904. numbers matching drivetrain. p/s,manual drums,A/C,works needs charged, rust free body, there is a film of surface rust in center of trunk floor. no holes, pitting, weak metal or scale, the PO's family took the car every few months to a power car wash, and, nobody had opened the trunk in years.a leaky trunk weatherstrip allowed water in,and nobody wiped it out. i was going to sand and repaint the center pan, but, rather than do anything to it yet,i would rather a person see it as it is.the car is not a full on show car,it is 41 years old,and largely untouched. original vinyl top with no bubbling underneath or dry spots/cracking. chrome is excellent. all glass crystal clear. everything works like day 1. interior is perfect, with the exception of it will need a new front seat cover. the car has the deluxe interior, with the stitching every 1/2" or so,and, the original owner was 400 lbs.!!!!. so,needless to say, that stitching did not fair well. rest of interior is awesome. crack free pads, headliner, door panels, carpet in great shape. all lights are bright and clear. car drives like new. everything is tight. new redtop optima battery, new starter, altenator, gas tank, sending unit, lines, fuel pump, brakes. was single exhaust car,now has brand new aluminized duals with 40 series flowmasters. tail pipes turn down, and replecated,in non-chrome-tip location at the bumper. engine purrs quietly, not even a hint of typical 318 lifter noise. trans shifts smooth and firm. has brand new 15X8.5 american racing TTO torq-thrust originals and BFG T/A's in 255/60/15. car is totally turn key, drive absolutely anywhere with no worries. as much as i would love to change it to BB power,i just don't think i can. i will gladly take alot of detailed pics of the car for serious interest, but,i won't go to the trouble for a bunch of curious tire-kickers. and,i really do not care if this one sells,i can store it,but, rather not,so,lowball/ridiculous/funny offers are a waste of yours and my time. you can call 270-860-2323 with questions.
price is $13,500 or i will entertain serious offers. not really looking to trade, but,i have something in my cross hairs. and no,i absolutely am not looking for any more projects. unless it's a smoking deal, and a load of cash to boot!!!

Wow, thats gorgeous.
Thats exactly how mine looked when it rolled out of the factory...
I am a bit curious to see the interior just to see if there is any difference between your car and mine, but I can't afford what is worth, so I'll keep dreaming.
Good luck with the sale!

400 pounds. I worked with a guy that weighed 450, and would just about destroy and thing he sat in.

Car looks clean

Congrats.

I've been saying cars are selling...... just not mine lol

Did that guy ever pick the car up? :angel1:

yes he did, really nice guy. a pleasure to deal with. definitely want to keep in touch with him. he seemed really happy when he left. and obviously,he got home with no problems.:icon_lol:

The car is now listed for $15K firm here in FL. Wish I had seen your ad sooner!

$15K is very close to exactly what I have in it right now.
So if you want it, it's still a deal because it would have cost you that to get it to Ocala and to fix it.

(and, at this point, I'm still very wishy-washy about even wanting to sell it) ;)

I'm not even sure if $15K cash waving in my face would pry it out of my hands.
I'm still quite undecided.

The problem is, at the end of the day, it's always going to be a 318, 2bbl, bench seat, column shift, base model Coronet. If that is what you are looking for, then it is the right car at the right price. However, for those of us who don't care how the factory did it, it's an expensive platform to still have to add buckets, console with floorshift, scoops, and a big block. Probably best to chuck the trim, fill in the holes, and drape a stripe over the back too. Yeah I know, I can see all of you purists cringing from here. It's all about preference.

I see it both ways.
Here is the big issue with this car: It only has 36,000 original miles on it ONCE :)

Have you sold it yet? Tough trying to find cash buyers for anything at the moment.
My superbee is the same colour scheme as your coronet, f8 green with green vinyl roof.
Surely someone is going to value the 36,000 mile part of the deal.
My 70 bigblock vette has 43,000 miles with loads of NCRS, bloomington gold, triple crown….all the credentials and in the flesh looks amazing in cortez silver, like an antique rolex….. But no-one has stumped up with the spondoolics yet.
none of these old bangers grow on trees no-more.
