I have a 1969 Road Runner with a 3 speed wiper motor , and I need to take it off for repair. Like to know the best way to get the wires out of the junction box that is on the fire wall. I just do not want to break them off

Thank you Jeff

The wiper motor harnes should be connected separately at the bulk head.

As far as getting the harness connector off the firewall bulkhead connector, just lift the ears on each side of the harness connector and wiggle off the bulkhead connector.

If you need to remove the wires from the wiper motor harness connector, it's pretty easy. The male terminal's have a slot through the body of them, so they can be collapsed inwards. From the front side of the harness connector, simply use a fine precision screwdriver and gently pry the male terminal in on itself (like red arrows show in pic). This will cause the terminal to become more narrow, thus becoming free of the lip inside the plastic connector it sits/locks on.

To reinstall, just make sure the body of the male terminal is extended back out, so when installing wire/terminal back into the harness connector it will seat/lock inside of it.

Good Luck.
