Hello thanks for your help . My carb now , and the one on my last 69 rr 383 , both appear to have been different and by coincidence they were both the number 46825A . DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS FOR. mine is not running well under mid range load . What do you thhink about installing a new modern edelbrock carb instead ?

4682S would be from a '69 383 HP Carter AVS w/automatic trans. This carb would be commonly found in a '69 Road Runner among other models as well. The number you quoted is not correct, if you check again I think you'll see that the "5" is really an "S". The "A" after the carb number is a date code I believe.

a 4401-S will work for ya as well .... was used alot on HP engines from 68-70

I'm sure a 4401S would work as well, however it is for a '68 model year 383 HP only. It was not factory issue on '69's or '70's. So if OP wants to keep his car stock appearing, he would need a 4682S.

I spent 600 restoring mine and it was a big mistake. Bought a new Edelbrock and transferred over the choke from the old one, purrs like a Tiger.
