Hi!
Any suggestions about installing the door glass on a 1969 Roadrunner 2 door sedan/coupe (post car)? I've taken a couple runs at it and ruined 2 sets of the Top Catwhiskers door channel weatherstrip. I'm using new glass (AMD) and measured to confirm its the same thickness as the original.
I've also sanded down the four plastic glides so they are actually thinner than the originals.
The issue seems to be with the channel weatherstrip as it doesn't seem to be an exact reproduction to the originals. Seems to slide real tight in the channel even without the glass or glides installed.
I'm frustrated as these weatherstrips are not cheap.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

The white clips where the issue I had when I did this. It sounds like you have that covered. The holes you punch in the new seal have to be deep enough so that it swallows the glass completely. I used a paper hole punch to do this.

I do think your problem is with the shape of the seal. It is not nearly "square" enough. I kept a piece of the ones I used. See picture below. I too did a post car, so I needed 4 of these pieces. You are correct, not cheap. I purchased one set from Chrysler and the other from Megaparts. I noticed their box in one of your pictures. I would talk to the supplier you bought them from.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
The sets that I bought to this point did not come in genuine mopar packaging. I just ordered another set that's supposed to be OE part.
I'll let you know how I make out.

Thanks again!
