1970 440 V CODE ENGINE?

Hello, I'm new here. Thanks for adding me. I have a engine I think is a 1970 440 engine. It's kind of hard to read the stamping. Someone scratched over the pad with a screwdriver or something. I think it says, F 440 V BC AUTO 7 1 Is this correct? I was told the "V" stands for 6 pack engine? and if so what engine is this? Thanks.

The V would not appear on the top pad. Look for the partial VIN on the pan rail, passenger side. There is also no HP markings on the top pad and a V code engine should have that.
