They look like the same headrest (70 B body bench and 69 B body bucket), but the posts are longer on the bench. B body 69 bench seat’s headrests look totally different as you know. Has anyone tried a bench headrest from 70 on a 69 bucket to see if they work?
The reason I ask, is that I ordered a bench set accidentally. It was a good sale. The site said they were for a 1969 B body, and knowing that 69 B bodies only had the style pictured on bucket seats, I snagged them. After the purchase, I noticed it said bench seat. The order was placed on a holiday Monday, and I tried to change the order immediately, but could get no one on the phone. Left an email immediately (which has never been responded to) and called the following Tuesday morning to speak directly with someone, who said they passed my change down to the packaging dept....yet, the wrong ones were sent anyway. I should send them back for poor customer service, but I was at fault too somewhat. They shouldn’t advertise something being for a 69 B body, if that wasn’t an option...this design wasn’t an option on a 1969 B body bench. Since they’re a site sponsor, I’ll refrain from naming them.
Anyway, I’m away from home for work travel, and my wife let me know the package arrived with the wrong headrests. I’m wondering if they’ll fit anyway (is the spacing of the posts and their curvature the same?). I know I may have to tweak their post length.
