Looking for help on how front and rear side marker lights are installed on a 1970 b body. I didn't disassemble the car so I am at a loss here. I find the front lights may utilize a backing plate but I didn't find an equivalent for the rear.

Would someone have any pictures or diagrams of the mounting of front and rear side markers you could share?

Thanks

Same for 70-71 dusters. If u do not find answers on this site try a body’s.

Fronts have mounting tabs built into the fenders.

Rear plates looks like this.

I'm pretty sure the rears have a rim on the inside of the opening and the front of the marker light has two studs on it that sandwiches the rim when the back portion of the marker light gets screwed on with the two acorn nuts. There's also a rubber gasket that goes underneath the front of the marker light. Here's a pic of the inside trunk showing how the marker light is attached in my 70 Satty.

Not sure if you can zoom in enough to see the front. Here's a close up of the rear. Don't have one of the front. I can take one tonight when I get home if you need a close up.

I should of been more specific. If anyone has a picture from inside the fender of the front markers installed I would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to determine the screw and nut combination and mounting to properly hold these.

Not a great picture, but hope this helps some.

Hawk- Thanks for the pic. I was actually wondering how the splash shield installs. I couldn't figure out how the ones that were in the trunk of my Satty when I got it, installed. Now I know, they're the wrong ones. They are much longer and narrower than yours. Also, did you spray the inside of the fenders black?

I sprayed the inside of the fenders similar to the way the factory would have done it, but likely more carefully. I still tried for the "somewhat random" look though...
