1970 road runner voltage regulator bolt pattern is the same as 1969

Let me introduce you to the voltage regulator bracket for a 1970 B-body. This bolts on the car with the exact same bolt pattern as a 1969 mechanical voltage regulator. Then the regulator bolts to this bracket. So your 1970 didn’t come with a 69 voltage regulator, there was no wiring harness Made to allow this to happen.

See the photos with the regulators over the bracket to show the bolt holes lining up.

they couldn’t bolt the regulator directly to the firewall because the top bolt is where the wiper mother cut out is so this bracket was designed.
