On a 1970 RR w/V21 hood treatment, how far do the stripes come down on the cowl inside engine compartment or do they only go on face/top of cowl??

Got it figured out. Whatever spray/overspray went between hood and cowl is how it was. Not clean as with everything else Chrysler did.

This is an up close shot of an original 1970 car showing where the stripe over spray went between the hood and the cowl. NO WAY was this are masked off and NO WAY was the stripe painted before the body color.

Interesting. I wonder if they taped off the areas to be painted black? On my original 70 airgrabber hood, the blacked out part is MUCH lower than the painted part & there's a definite ridge where the black meets the color

Hard to tell on my 70' R.R. being originally a TX9 car with hood stripe. The black over black is barely visable anymore but it is crude with over spray ending wherever like the green car above.
