On my A pillers, the seam on the vinal top is causing a large gap on the windshield reveal moulding...is there a solution?

That seam is in the wrong place. I was sent a top like that and had to send it back. Not only the pillar seam but the rest of the top fit like crap. I was lucky at the time [Covid era] And found a black Legendary. The seams and the rest of the fit was perfect.

Unfortunately it's just way to far out for that...I'd bend the trim. Clip wouldn't hold it anyway.

On a happier note.....it's almost April..... :poke:

Calendars need turning.

Calendar most definitely needs flipped...

Anyone have pics of original vinyl tops to show that the seam is supposed to be higher? This car is just about done. Redoing the top at this point is not a happy thought

There is a gap there because of the roof skin to pillar joint. It wasn't filled and sanded straight. From new they weren't very well done either. That's one reason why the vinyl top seam was placed there. It helped to hide the poor joint finishing from new. I have installed many vinyl tops, and they have enough extra material to move it forward and back, so the seams are low on your car's pillars, because the installer wasn't aware that the seams should be higher, and simply glued the vinyl top on with it pulled forward more than it should have been.

As the seam is effectively three layers thick, I had similar issues, what I did was carefully lift the seam and trim the two layers away only up to where the stainless trim meets it and then glued the top layer back down into the Chanel, it worked great, had to do the same around the front and rear windshield as well
