Anyone buy one of these aftermarket kits and if so, what did you think of it?

i don't have one but
when i did my research on them, i just felt they were way over priced for what they are
and that was when they were half the price they are today. 2500 now?
you can walk down a row of grabber cars and you can easily pick them out on a 71 car
the bubble just doesn't fit the hood the right way and once you know what to look at
it sticks out like a sore thumb.
i ended up searching out and buying a original hood that was
put together with wood screws and i have hundreds sunk into just the hardware alone..
real or not, a air grabber hood on a 71 = $$$$
and if you are going to spend that much on it,imo real is the only way to go..

Thanks so much. My original hood is in pretty rough shape and will cost quite a bit to get it looking good. I have a pristine Satellite hood and was thinking of converting it. I may just improvise a bit and use it temporarily with a six pack scoop for now as I save to get the original fixed.

if i did anything, i would try to find a real bubble to put on the satty hood
before going down the repop road.
i can't imagine it being worse fitting then the repop is.
i was considering doing that just before i found my real hood.

if the repop stuff was under a grand then i could see using it
for what it is
but for the amount money they are asking for it,the repop just didn't
appear to be a good value to me.

I have been trying to source a real bubble, but not having any luck. I am in a bit if a time crunch now with the body shop so the Satellite hood is just a temp thing until I source a better hood or save the $$$ to fix my original non-airgrabber.

time isn't on your side when looking for this stuff.
i have seen a couple of them for sale over the years
but they are few and far in between.
