The ignition switch in the steering column of my 1971 Roadrunner has failed and I am replacing it. The previous owner had removed the oem connector from the switch side of the harness. The inst panel side of the harness still has the oem connector on it but he removed the 6 awg10 wires and pins from it connected the 6 wires directly using crimp on butt connectors. since the new switch's harness has the oem type connector I would like to use it and connect it using the original inst panel harness side connector instead of the butt connectors. The problem is I need a source for the crimp on metal pins used in the oem connectors so I can crimp them on the wires on the instrument panel side of the harness and insert them into the existing connector. Does anyone have a source for the oem type pin connector used in the factory harness connectors? I've looked at connectors from Delphi, amp, and Deutschland but can't tell from the photos if they'll work. Thanks,

Hmmm not sure. You might have a easier time finding a new “plug” end and reconnecting that way.

Terminals are calles MOLEX ( due the designer ) and they are available all around in several diameters.

Molex is a brand what designs several kinds of conectors and terminals and those are one of them
