My father was telling me storys of the 'good ol days' and mentioned a 1971 Super Bee he once owned and is still today his dream car to "have one like it" someday.

From what he told me it was a Bright red Super Bee with hide-away head lights, air grabber, go-wing, 340, and pistol grip 4 speed

i looked up the production numbers for the 340 4-speed combo and it came out to being only 39 made

my question is is there any way to figure out how many we're made with those particular options? or should we just call it very very rare? :toothy5:

Some more back story: My dad, being around the age i am now when he owned it (19-20) blew up the original motor and sold it :( one of those you still kick yourself to this day kinda things..

thanks for any help!

Cool story. thanks for sharing.

The production number of 39 is an approximation and only includes cars sold in the US. There may have been some sold in Canada or exported we don't know about. It's probably fair to say there were less than 50 of that particular combination built. And...that's about all we can do with the numbers.

Because of the way the production figures work, you cannot cross reference different options to come up with a number make in a certain combination.

"Very Rare" is a relative term in the Mopar world.

Your dad's car is a very low production car but consider there were cars made in fewer numbers than 71 340-four speed Super Bees.

The clone I am building I debated on doing it as a 340 car because my car was originally a 318 car. But I love my cubic inches. :D

being a broke college kid ive only been able to afford the less powerful versions of Mo-Muscle....i love the little 318!
