WTB 1972 Big Block K Frame

I'm looking for a K frame for my 72 Satellite. A 440 will be going into the car. All of the prices I have seen are over $300 and I am on a budget so something less expensive but still structurally sound would be perfect.

Well, I think there is some good news for your budget. If you are indeed putting a big block in a 72 Satellite, you should not need a different K-Frame for the 440, if your car was originally a V-8. The slant six k-frame were different. There is lots of info in the 71-74 forum section on motor swaps, showing K-Frame pictures. The 73-74 big and small block K-frames differ. These differences are also highlighted in a few threads.

Someone else already swapped in the 440 but when they did, they chopped up the current K frame to accommodate an oil pan. I pulled the motor to rebuild it and will be replacing the K frame for the sake of structural integrity.
