1972 911T sun roof coupe with the S package. I had the car for about 8 yrs and most of that time I was working on it. I did all the mechanical and bodywork myself and my buddy shot it in his booth with PPG two stage paint. Original leaf green #218 custom matched to the original paint that was on the sunroof panel. The paint in the trunk is still original.

Engine: Believed to be the original 2.4 MFI (verified by the engine number). Crank is forged STD/STD; timeserts for the head studs; custom made Wiseco forged pistons with 8.0:1 CR in new OEM barrels; all new valves, springs, keepers, guides, surface; timing chain components; Carrera tensioners; cams are original T and were in good shape so I reused them; MFI pump rebuilt by Gus (Pacific Fuel Injection); new injectors; red plug wires are Magnecors; new repo heat exchangers (not SSI) but they work fine – no exhaust leaks. The engine rebuild is completely documented.

Trans: Believed to be original to the car and is the deep geared (72 only) 915. Rebuilt as reqd. Swepco oil. New CV boots/grease; shift coupling; mounts. Trans rebuild is the only thing I didn’t do myself.

Body: Original CA car and not rusty. I did nothing regarding weld in panel replacement. All floors, battery boxes, front apron, etc… believed to be and look original. I replaced the pass door with a good straight rust free one. No major crunches that I’m aware of. All new decos, light lenses, trim bits, re-chrome bumper guards and factory installed over riders. New fuzzies and glass run channels, good glass (new-ish PPG windshield), new glass seals, rear defrost was working last time I used it. The air deflectors are not installed in the sun roof but I have them, plus a complete extra set of sun roof parts from a later model car. I also installed new cables. The sun roof works fine. All heater cables and controls were cleaned and greased. New clutch cable. Gas tank and spare from late model car. I still have the original spare. Wheels have been redone by Al Reed.

Suspension: Only new shocks installed. It can use spring plate bushings and I have a set of original plates that seem to have good bushings that are included. Ball joints, etc… are functional and the car drives fine, however, it wouldn’t hurt to freshen it up since all is believed to be original. I have some OEM sway bars from an S that are included, as the T didn’t get any from the factory.

Interior: I put in a head liner but screwed up so it should be redone. Door panels are original with speaker holes. I have several map pockets but never put them on because I was going to rebuild a set, but as usual, never got around to it. Dash is a “better than what I had” out of a 74. I took apart all the gauges and painted the trim rings – they look great. I had to replace the speedo with a good used one and it doesn’t quite look as good as the rest of the gauges, but still not bad. Seats are new-ish Recaro SE’s (I have the originals and are included). This is also an original A/C car, and although not installed, I have everything and will include with the car. Original AM/FM radio with Hershmann antenna included.

Everything works and I put 35 K miles on it in about a year and a half commuting to work. I drove it in the rain, 100 deg weather and on a dirt road (carefully). The car is fully functional, starts every morning without complaining, but can use detail finishing work. $26K in receipts. Asking $35K. Serious only! Call Alex @ 925 200 5551.

Thanks! ...And I can honestly say "Yeah, it's got a HEMI".

I used to be in the Porsche club, and met Peter Schutz, and Peter and Wolfie. Nice folk.
