1973 340 stock exhaust

On a stock 1973 340, with factory manifolds, does anyone remember the pipe size. I was thinking it was 2" but I can't remember for sure. Too far from home to check the books. Thanks

I would think 2 1/4". Stock '69 318 exhaust manifold outlet is 1 7/8".

According to accurate exhaust, 2" headpipes, 2.25 intermediate pipes, and 2.25 tailpipes.

That sounds good, and just searching around for a complete system they were 2 1/4" (most of them), so your 2 1/4" memory is probably right. Thank Aeronet

I think they went smaller later
and it varies by chassis A body being smaller
been awhile
