My 833 4-speed transmission in my 1973 SSP, which I believe is factory, is not stamped on the ID pad like I was expecting. It is stamped only with "PP 833 4116" which identifies the type of tranny and the Julian date, which are both correct. Although, the "PP" could be an "RP" as it is hard to tell for sure (see picture). From what I have read it should also have at least part of the vehicle vin. This car was built in Canada. Has anyone else with a 1973 Roadrunner/Satellite with a factory 4 speed, actually looked at the tranny stamp pad and seen this same issue, or does yours have part of the VIN stamped on the pad as well?
I have spoken to almost all of the previous owners and nobody mentions the tranny being replaced. On a previous thread one of the BBO members thought it may be a factory replacement tranny. Thanks

It would be PP.

4116 is Nov 3, 1972. Was the car built mid Nov to Dec?

Well that is something I had not thought of. I have heard odd things sometimes happen at the factories.
