Hello,

I've been in the hobby for about a year now. I moved from an apartment to a house so I would have a place to work on, and store my projects.

I have one B body, and two M bodies (which I'm sure no one cares about here :frog:)

I'm a big fan of the 77-78 Fury/Monaco, mostly from watching all the 80's action TV shows as a little kid.

With my new work schedule I have Saturday and Sunday afternoons off, so I'll be able to get involved in the Mopar scene here in Houston

I have a low mileage grandma car from Oregon that I had shipped 1,200 miles.

De-trimming a 1977 Fury to be an unmarked police clone.

How embarrassing, I'm the only one with four door here (or one of the few). It's still a B body [Fury (1962-64, '75-78)], but not one that's really relevant here. Thanks for the responses, I'll be able to pick up quite a bit of tech stuff here that I can apply to my project. And then in a year or two take on a 2-door project.

You're not the only one here with a four door. In fact you'll even find some similar year police cars. Nothing to be concerned about!

Personally, I love the M bodies. I like the boat-tail Dippys and the boxier later versions. It must go back to my childhood when my dad was a copper, the Diplomats and then later, as a Watch Commander, the LeBarons left an impression on me. I've had a 75 Coronet (ex-cop car) and a 76 Monaco (2-Dr). I dig the unmarked cop car vibe (no trim, steel wheels, all business) a lot more than the painstakingly restored and/or cloned police cars. They're cool, and tracking down vintage police gear is a hobby in itself.

I watched a lot of cop shows in the 70s and 80s too. I used to Rockford that old Coronet til the hubcaps flew off, then go pick em up, pound em back on, and do it again.

Welcome to the site! I'm running a 72 Coronet so you're not the only 4-door car here. Looking forward to see more of your Fury :)
