Do any of you guys know what that fusible link goes to, thats hooked to the positive batt cable. on a 1977 -78 dodge d100 trucks, mines not hooked up but everything seems to work.
It would go to your bulkhead connector and from there to the fuse box. Check for a melted connector inside of the bulkhead connector its likely that the original link fused already.
Check your 4 way flashers. That link goes straight to the 4 way flasher circuit. I had a load issue in mine and had to replace the link with a fuse holder.
Here is the wiring diagram for it. If your lights, Cigar lighter and everything works without the fusible link it would be a miracle or something is wired wrong. Check position 4 on your firewall connector. It has to be getting a feed from somewhere.
thanks fellers , yes, the flashers don't work, But i have not tried to put in a new flasher relay yet. and the radio fuse in the block is missing one lug like it got burnt up. ,
