Im wanting to install a 2 step in my car. I footbrake a 727 reverse pattern with Cheetah shifter.
I was originally thinking about a button on far right of brake pedal but didn't want to accidentally hit it at the end of the track.
I don't want a button on the steering wheel because that would be too much to launch.
Now Im thinking about using 2 micro switches. One on the brake pedal and one somehow attached to 1st gear on shifter. Any thoughts or ideas about that?

Having done this in the past, I made a bracket that clamped to the brake pedal arm that the switch mounted to, so there was little risk of stepping on the switch at the other end of the track. It was a momentary type switch. What I found was the switch response was too slow, causing reaction time issues for me. I tried a couple of different switches, eventually I abandoned the 2 step idea and went to back to just foot braking. It just wasn't worth the trouble for me to sort it out.

NHRA Stocker guys use the pressure switch in the brake line. If you search there are adjustable pressure switch's so you can fine tune it.
