Some big history there Mike, would have been a great time to be apart of Drag Racing, bet you have some stories to tell.

Yup...lots of stories...match raced about every weekend. Usually best 2 out of 3...winner generally fot $300 and loser $150..run what you brung. I had hilborns and ran about 80% Nitromethane, etc. etc. It was the infancy of altered wheelbase funny cars.
Built the entire car myself...chassis and motor...in the rear back room of my speed shop.
But...I was NOT famous or well known because I was racing a crummy little tracks in southern Illinois, Indiana and Missouri...If I had lived in southern california I might have been famous...lol
