Please pray for everyone affected by this devastating snow and ice storm. Ice is forming on trees breaking limbs and falling on power lines. Many are without power, including me and some of my family. We're going to be clearing brush for the next few weeks in Oklahoma. My backyard with Mulberry, Maple and Elm.

Another 24 hours or so of rain, freezing temps then we'll see temps above freezing.

Snowing here in S New Mexico, be gone by tomorrow. Used to get ice storms in Oregon, not fun. Stay safe.

We get our share of ice here in Maine. Sucks for sure when stuff starts breaking and no power! Hope you get it back soon and everything is better!

Remember 98? That was a bad one. We were without power for 2 weeks in January.

Yes Ice sucks!

It's not that big of a deal in winter. But it's fall here and the leaves haven't changed colors not fallen off yet. So, there's more weight on the branches and more surface area for ice to collect on.

News reports say 1700 people are working to restore power in Oklahoma. Mine was off from 2-6PM yesterday and has been off since 9AM today.

Stay safe and watch those power lines! I've been watching the weather down there. Hard to believe those temperatures! 440'

The front stalled out just on the other side of Houston from me and it's still 68 as I type. Was 81 yesterday but don't know what the high was here today since I didn't reset my thermometer but it got warm enough for my shop to still be 77 inside. Y'all stay safe!

It's usually in the mid 60s here in October. We hadn't had measurable rainfall in well over 30 days. The trees are dry and brittle.

Pretty much the same here. We got a 1/4" of rain when the last storm went through LA.

My power was restored yesterday about 3PM.

We had about 4 inches of precipitation in Moore. It hasn't rained since August.

Great forecast for clean up.

Man that looks good. We've had crappy weather lately except one nice warm sunny day. The last 10 have been cloudy, cold and rainy.

Someone said 1/2 inch of ice on power lines between poles can add 500 lbs. Some of Oklahoma saw 5 inches of ice on power lines.

Happens a lot in Michigan that's why I bought a whole house generator living in the country we are the last to get power back. Sorry about your damage it's never fun cleaning up after a storm like that.
