hi folks I'm looking to buy a complete 383 steel crank engine I'm located in southern ca. zip 93021.needing to be rebuilt is fine. pm me with any questions and price. I listed this ad in the a bodies forum but no luck.

Terry I have one. It is a 1965 383 bored .030 over with a 10/10 forged crank. Has Speed Pro L2315F30 Pistons with Hastings Molly rings and the stock rods resized with ARB Bolts. Motor will come with 906 heads, original valves and springs. There are no rockers or shafts but they are readily available. Melling High Volume Oil and Fuel pumps are attached, Oil Pan is a 402 center sump and comes with pickup and wind-age tray installed. Has a stock H2O pump and after market impeller. No Damper or intake manifold but does have the valley pan. In addition I will throw in an Edelbrock 1407 750 cfm Carburetor, vacuum secondary, manual choke.

I originally had this motor in my 1966 Ply Satellite, but instead used a 1969 HP short block and some parts off of this one for the 1969 block. It has maybe 2 hours of run time on it before I did the swap and it has been broken in in the proper manner using Brad Penn ZDDP Break In Oil, so I know it will run. The cam in it is one I had laying around and most likely shouldn't be used. I installed it so as to make sure that the motor was sealed. Lifters look OK but I would swap out both for what you might want. I can provide more pictures of course. The first one is a pic of the 2nd motor after doing the parts swap rest are as it sits now....

You being located down in So Cal and me being up in Nor Cal shouldn't pose much of a logistics problem getting it to you. But should you be interested, then the details can be worked out later. I also have a 509 Purple Cam and lifters that we can discuss also. Now for the price....I would like 550.00 for the motor and all the other parts I have mentioned except the Carb will be thrown in for the 550.00 price. The carb is used but in excellent shape so I would like 150.00 for that. Hopefully this gives you enough to go on. You can reach me by a PM for any info you might need. Hope to hear from you...cr8crshr/Tuck

I have a couple as well. One is a '71 that is a complete running engine and the other is a freshly built, balanced '67 short block punched out .030" and stuffed with forged flat tops.
