Putting a 4-speed console in my 70 RR. It’s an original console car but didn’t have one when I bought it. Question is, is there supposed to be a screw on the bottom by the gas pedal to keep it off the pedal?

Nope. It’s really tight in there. You may be able to slide the whole console towards the passenger side a little bit by ovalling out the main 4 console screws down inside the console(?). I’ve also considered if (?) I can trim either edge (console side or floor side) of the 4 spd “hole cover”…the part that is hitting the pedal. Mine isn’t contacting the pedal, but it’s tight too. On that same idea….you could also re-drill the gas pedal mounting screw holes about 1/4” further towards the driver’s side (?)
