4 speed swap...could use some help.

ok here is the deal i have a 73 b body with buckets and a slap stick. the auto magic(727) just burned up...imagine that...and i found sombody local selling a 64 b body A-833 4 speed with big block bell housing (i have a 400), clutchfork, z bar and the weird ball and triunion drive shaft for 400 bucks can i make this stuff work in my car?.

Not really. The shifter will hit the dash without the correct mount and shifter rods for the 71/4B and then that would have to be bench seat style. The 64 tranny doesn't have the rear mounting bosses for the 71/4B bucket seat shifter. Will have to modifiy the drive shaft, z-bar, linkage and tranny mount. Flywheel will have to balanced for the 400. Pedals won't fit. Will be alot of work and more trouble than its worth. The 64 setup is alot different than the 71/4 setup.
