Hey guys, I’m new here and Im having a hard time deciding what mechanical fuel pump to buy. I have a 67 Chrysler 440 engine bored 30 over with a Holley double pumper carb in a 73 Sebring plus. It will just be a street driven car. There are several pump options and I’m not sure which is best with my set up given I won’t be hitting a track. Any help would be appreciated!

For a mechanical, I am using a Carter M6903. I think it is well made, rebuildable, and supplies ~6-7.5 PSI which is not too much for the carburetor without return line. I took mine apart when I bought it to clean up threads. If you are just driving, my a standard one from the autoparts store will be less expensive and work fine. I used one of those for 40+ years with few issues before getting the present one.

I also have the reproduction "hemi" Carter M6903 on my 440 right now, works fine.
I also have a couple of like new "parts store" pumps sitting on the shelf and truthfully, for this fairly mild engine,
they'd probably work too.

Thank you all! I will get that ordered! I appreciate it!
Let us know what you think, and don't make the same mistake I did-be SURE to flush your fuel pump and pump to carburetor(s) lines before you hook up the upper fuel lines to you carb(s).
