Bet this came out of a 72' super bird. On another note has anyone else heard someone call an engine a hemi that clearly wasn't or look at your non hemi engine and ask if it's a hemi? I've had a couple typically my younger friends that have never really been around a big block or v8... Or cars evens Got into an argument with a Chevy friend calling my 383 a small block Chevy that was interesting.

Had a guy looking at my road runner a few days ago.....his brother had one with a 440-hemi. It screamed.

Part or most of this comes from the word "Hemi" being used so much in advertising over the years that the general public has lost track about what it is. (many never did know what it is)

What got me first interested in them was when they were referred to as a double rocker shaft engines in the motor repair manuals. In the pictures they looked muscular and the big thing I liked was access to the spark plugs was a snap. (we used to change spark plugs a lot in those days).

^^this

"hemi" orange, "hemi" transmission, "hemi" 18 spline, "hemi" cars, trucks, this, that. "that thing got a hemi?!" Not surprised non-mopar types aren't sure what a hemi is.

What an idiot. I could find 440's all over my area for $500 or less. "I know what I have!" Obviously the dumbarse doesn't know shi# about what he has...

Years ago I was looking at a 67 or 68 Barracuda on a used car lot. The sales guy was all about telling me how great the 273 HEMI was......

...or looking for that sucker who was born on at the correct minute.

April 23rd
Met a guy at a car show (a whopping 7 cars...LOL)
He said he has a 440 Hemi at his house
Says it came out of a motorhome

That craigslist ad is not very well crafted. negotiable, but no lowballs? how does one negotiate from 6k pricetag on a winnebago big block without a lowball? I hope he is selling the trailer with that drivetrain...even then it would have to be a lowball. 6000 FIRM...

maybe he just wants everyone to know what he knows he has, since he knows what he has...and aint sellin.

Yeah but he probably knows if you put that in a classic mopar it is automatically worth like 60 grand lol because he watches those auction shows on tv.

Stage V sells conversion kits for use of their Stage V Hemi Heads
on a Low deck 350-361-383-400 or R/B 413-426w-440 blocks

so technically
it could have a 383 Hemi or a 440 Hemi...LOL
albeit not very likely

I know, I know, I'm just pointing it out...

When people talk stupid stuff like that i usually correct them about mopar stuff its bad enough that the TV shows make it even worse haw many of you correct them .
