For sale. "489" Sure Grip chunk. Unknown condition, unknown gear ratio as it isn't stamped. Located in Appomattox Va.

Too bad you cannot count the teeth on the pinion to know for sure, but the tooth count in the larger gear can get is close to estimating on this 8.75 assembly.

Mark the ring gear and turn the yoke and note how many rotations the yoke makes for one revolution the ring makes. Ding Ding. Based on how thick the ring gear is, it's at least a 4.10 and I bet the number of teeth for the pinion and ring is on the ring gear....if it's a 4.10, the teeth count would be 41 - 10

I did this very thing and refused to post "Believed to be" gear ratio as once read, it's typically law and then I'm reported or called out for false info. No thanks. I posted a pic of all the stamps on ring gear. No teeth count or I'd have posted it.
