Hi, I’m going to try this over here. Any 6 pack car owners able to tell me if the factory paint is flat, satin or organosol or? I have one to paint for my 69 Belvedere.

Much appreciated

Got mine from Frank Badalson in case you were going to ask that next.
Thanks for both replies!
How do you find it in terms of cleaning it and/or keeping it clean? Do you have any secret methods?

seeing as the car is just a Belvedere etc and it’s not too important if I’m OE correct, would you ever think about or recommend just a satin Black type finish for ease of cleaning? An opinion from a real A-12 owner is appreciated!

I do have this though:

SEM hot rod black, has the satin , flat look.
Its activated and is easy to keep clean.
Wizard makes a flat paint protectant ,sealer that is a very good product
Bird crap , tree sap , ect wash off without marking.

I find it to be a dust magnet and a PITA in that respect. Lemon Pledge. Learned that trick from the guys over on the Lift Off Hood Playground. No, I am NOT pulling your leg. You can go over there and research it yourself.

I’m on my way to look now then . The twin stripes on my road runner are done in it and I agree with your assessment. PITA. I just blow on it. Lemon pledge? If I can’t find the info I’m going to be calling on you. Thanks
