I replaced my steering box with a new borgeson unit. Trying to install the pitman arm that was already on the car and it seemed to big. It wouldn’t turn when the steering shaft was turned. I figured my dad had put a different year steering box in and I needed the arm for the small sector shaft. When I tried to install that there didn’t seem to be any way that would fit. Am I supposed to just beat the snot out of it to force it on? Or am I missing something on the larger one that locks it in to engage with the steering?? Yes I am inexperienced and have struggled with most everything I’ve done on this car (still love it though). Thanks for any help

You definitely don't want to beat on a gear box!

You could contact borgeson and ask which pitman arm they recommend if no one else on here answers your question.
