For those who are about to install Belvedere body moldings. The repop clips were found to be to large. They required trimming for ease of installation. After trimming a scrap piece of sheet metal was drilled and the clips temporarily installed. The the moldings were test fit on the clips. A block of 2x4 was shaped to fit the inside of the body as a backer when pushing on the molding during install.

thanks Doug, bought clips from RT spec. They are different from originals, insert does seem to be slightly larger as well as the fit on to the trim. When you say you trimmed them did you mean you filed the edge that fits on trim?

Not wanting to hijack another thread, but NAPA sold me a universal box of clips a few years ago for my 63 330 Dodge. The chrome was real thin and the actual clip mfgs. didn't have anything that small. Don't know if they still sell them but they were worth their weight in gold to me.

I deleted the pics. However you can find them here;
"Moparts body molding clips dvw" on google. I'm too computer illiterate to figure out how to repost it.
