Hello- does anyone have pics of a 64 b body dodge stone shields? They are a curved d-shaped peice of aluminum attached to the frot edge of the rear wheel well / lip.

My car originally came with them but the mounting holes have been filled. I found a set of 63 stone shields which fit the contours of the quarters but want to make sure they are the same before drilling away.

This is a really obscure part so any help is appreciated.

See my photos, my yellow one has them. IF you need closer photos let me know

Thanks David, those pictures are very helpful. Glad I asked, the 63 stone shields are much different and smaller overall.

You want a pic of them on the car or off. I have a set of NOS never used sitting on my workbench!

Either would be fine, or both! Let me know if you are interested in selling them too.
Thanks,
Jeff

Plan on putting them on my Fury, sorry not selling them! Hope they give you the info you need, if you need me to measure the bolt hole spacing let me know!

Thanks for those pics 64 Fury. It's interesting, I bought that exact set - also NOS- and then from what I figured it was for a 63. However it does fit the wheelwell and the body coutours.

Maybe the Plymouth and Dodge stone shields were different for a 64?

64 Fury does your car have the original mounting holes for these on the fenderwell lip?

David, hope you don't mind if I share your pic - but this is the 64 Dodge stone shield.

I found a spot where mine fit, basically the same spot davids are, but mine are not as long and do not go as far down. I don't have the factory holes, but on one side I can feel what I think is an old hole filled over within 1/4" of where I would put the new hole, either that or it's a spot weld!

^^ Yep, exactly. I can get them to fit in the right spot but on this specific car I only want to put the correct ones on since my car is all stock and I too have to drill.

I actually like the smaller ones like you and I have better, so hopefully I'll find something out about them also being used on a 64 or not.

Thanks for the thoughts and pics.

Maybe a difference from Dodge to Plymouth? Wjere did you get yours from, got mine thru ebay, wondering if they are for a 63' and we both got dupped?

I have a set for my 63 that I never installed. I kinda forgot about them but this reminder will make me try and find where I put them. :) Ron

I got mine on eBay too. They were listed as 63/64 Dodge Plymouth and I already knew the person wasn't fully aware of what they were. I bought them on the chance they were the right part since I was having trouble getting any clear info on them.

I might sell these 63's if it turns out to be a 63 only part. But if my car were modified and I didn't mind the non-correct part I'd use them. They look cooler than the 64 peices to me.
