Hello,I'm about ready to install my 426 street wedge in my 65 coronet. Is it easier to put the headers down in the engine compartment first rather than put them in when the engine in? I have 2" doug headers. Dave L
dave, it always helped me to let the engine down into the bay pretty close to the mnts. dropping in and sliding headers up from bottom on driver side and down from top on pass side or what ever it takes before mnts. go into k-frame. good to have a helper with this. good luck and it all depends what headers and engine, theres no tried and true method. might want to bolt up starter before.
X2 on that cryplydog, except on my 63 I was able to install both of the headers from the top when the engine was close to the mounts. Also a helper is highly recommended. Good luck.
