Hi,

I'm trying to find a set of stock valves (2.08" intake / 1.60" exhaust) with oversized stems +.015 to +.030" - any help is appreciated.

thanks
Luciano

Ok, I will ask a really stupid question....why are you looking for valves with oversize stems instead of new valve guides for normal size stems?

When I was in technical school they showed us that you could knurl the guides. Basiclly just a tool that kind of puts threads in the guide to make it tighter. With that being said back when I was young and broke I used a coarse tap that was the same size as the stem. I would run it in from the top and the bottom and it would tighten up the valve. Now I can hear it now, how that is pretty shaddy but I know it works in a pinch but it does last too. Now I only ever used smaller purple shaft cams and probably wouldn't last on a 550+ lift cam but just over stock builds it does. Just my 2 cents.
