I've looked everywhere and can't find a pre-bent exhaust system for my car. Can't afford TTI headers so the stock manifolds are being used. I expect to pay about $500 for a local shop to make the exhaust but I would prefer a system designed for my car. Can anyone point me in a direction?
Thanks

I think a poly would be a single exhuast with a Y-pipe.
My thought would be to get a dual exhaust for a 361 or 383 and just modify the headpipes as neatly as possible to connect to your manifolds.
Perhaps even get the Y-pipe and then marry the two at the cleanest spot.
I have a parts manual at home if you would like me to look up and send you anything.

I think you are going in the right direction....

Oddly, the car came with dual exhaust. Because it's a 318 POLY - now a 392 POLY Stroker - the exhaust ports are spaced differently than any of the wedge engines. But you have an interesting idea. I would imagine the exhaust from the head pipes back would be the same for the 361/383 Belvedere/Satellite and perhaps just having the head pipes made to fit that system is an idea. Thanks for suggesting.

I thought Accutate LTD might have it but nope, LA 318 only.

Have your local muffler shop bend up a set of head pipes for Polly, likely 2" or 2 1/4". Then get mufflers and tailpipes for 383 dual exhaust set-up, as someone else mentioned. You will have to check what size pipe your exhaust manifold will accept and what size tailpipes and muffler in & out are as well.

Our '66 Coronet 318 Polly has stainless headers with dual exhaust . The only tight part was ,there is minimal clearance for the power steering pump . I'll try to find the brand when I get home

Must be a nice set up. I can’t afford headers so I hope the factory manifolds are enough
Thanks

Don, Just found MagnaFlow makes a system for the car from the head pipes back - $800. I would have to fab the head pipes. Thanks for the idea. Like Dorothy said to me, 'what would you do if you had a brain?'

Do you still have the pipes that were on it?
You can use them for a template

Had to cut them off when removing the engine (40 years of rust takes a toll). As you suggested, now shopping for a 383 system and will build new head pipes. Problem solved... sorta.

Last time I had head pipes made, they were $100.

I got a discount because I had stubs with the correct flanges.

Better to have the rest of the exhaust, or at least from where the head pipes attach, to the axle.

...and discuss if you want them welded to those pipes. It's cheaper and faster but can be a pain to remove.

Oddly I just found the exhaust system from the car behind the garage. Will use as a template. One muffler was 18" and the other was 20". I guess the original owner had to replace one of the mufflers. Just wonder which is the correct length.
