Hello,
I have a 66 Charger survivor that I need to start to put together. I want to put disc brakes in up front, and I need to rebuild the front end, upper / lower bal joints ect.
Does anyone sell a COMPLETE kit for this, or is it front end rebuild kit - Plus - disc brake kit ?
I may end up doing a disco tech swap, did it in my 69 and am happy, just need to go get some parts, that could be impossible because when you go to the yards and ask for parts - or cars - from the 70's, people just tilt their head and look at you funny ?
Thanks in advance

There is a thread "help disc brake options" put a search on that.

tnfastback recommended p jack. You'll have to look around p jack site you may find when you go there it's for 14" wheels so look around his site. The address was for a member who wanted to keep his 14" rims.
Dr Diff also.
That discotech swap caliper brackets are I understand are tough to find cheap. Ramman sells repo's $295.
Someone will say where to buy front end kits

I have entire front end parts, going to upgrade my 66, so all of the NEW parts I have accumulated, are for sale..........for now anyway, as I have another 66 may keep it completely stock. But got to finish this none now. But all brakes are drum style.

Bigblockdart.com swap is MUCH easier and cheaper to find the parts.

Simply type disc brake conversion for 66 B body on google many choices will appear

It uses much easier to find F/M/J body spindles and spends quite a bit of time addressing/disproving a common question regarding the additional 3/8" in height of that part.

The Disk-0-tech article has you chasing a lot of one or two year, or one body style only parts that are pretty much not available in salvage yards any more.

The bigblockdart article is written from an A body perspective, but the parts and procedures are the same for any 66-70 B body.

I put a SSBC wheel kit on my 66 this past spring.
It's extremely easy and it will accept the original 14" steel rims if you add a 1/4" spacer. Magnum road wheels are no problem.
I already had a (manual)dual master cylinder for disc brakes for many years.
Made in the USA, very nice quality of parts and fasteners comes with everything.
