Should the Plymouth script be black?

Also if it should -as mine is has no paint on it- any tips on painting the letters in?

My survivor panel has the letters black. It is not gloss black. use a fine artist paint brush, or hire an artist or jeweler to do it.

I wonder what type of paint would stick best to the aluminum
