Hi everyone, It been a long winter and not is the time to start getting the car ready for the season!

In working on my dash cluster I have found that my fuel and temp gauges are not working. Burnt wire on one and a short on the other. I have searched for replacement to no avail.

Does anyone have any they would like to sell. Must be in working condition or I would just send mine in to be refurbished. I would rather not wait for that if someone has working ones they would like to sell.

There is a fuel gauge on ebay right now for $199. did not want to spend that much.

Thanks guys!:thankyou:

I hate to say it, but even if you locate working gauges, no guarantee they'll last very long under routine use unless refurbished. Don't mean to be a negative Nancy but your time and effort to remove, install, etc has gotta be worth something too, let alone piece of mind. Are you doing the gas gauge conversion to cut out the "points" voltage regulation and putting in a solid state 5v regulator?

Nothing is ever simple with these is it!?!?

Yes I am doing the points conversion. I know the chance of finding any that will last is a long shot. I most likely will send them in to be refurbished. I know there is a guy on this forum that does it but his name eludes me now.

Thanks Shorty! you have helped me before, you are a realist not a Nancy. Lol
