Hello guys and gals,
Just bought an “L” code 67 Charger, I pick it up and bring it home next weekend, just getting some forums and web sites ready to go when I get her home! More to come, looking forward to following everyone’s projects, and gaining knowledge on this site.
Thanks!

Welcome! That's a rare one can't wait to see it!

Welcome from Alabama, L code 67 Chargers are pretty rare. Great find

Welcome to FBBO from Ontario. That is a nice find on the 440 Charger. I think they only made about 660 of them. I could never understand why Dodge never extended the R/T package to these cars, as they did the later 440 "L" Chargers. They already had the R/T package on the Coronets, like the one I have

Congrats on the L code Charger, neat cars for sure.

R/T was a new thing. That’s not the image the Charger was going after. And they didn’t know the R/T would be so widely accepted. The Charger L code had every mechanical part the same as a GTX and Coronet R/T anyway and was neat the only visual differences was the engine emblem.

In this case it helps to start the thought process in 1962 and move forward what happened in 1967. 1968 and newer didn't exist.

I talked with an original owner of a 68 R/T. He had a new 1967 GTO before and he said he hated the look of the bumblebee stripes.

Then in thinking about it nobody ever had a stripe like that on any car before 1968.

You have a beautiful Coronet, I always loved the body lines on those! I feel fortunate for sure to have found it! Can’t wait to get rolling on it!
Thank you for your reply!
