hello,

looking to replace the large filler elbow and vent hose. i can provide dimensions if needed. any leads towards acquiring these pieces would be much appreciated. andrew

I took mine off and put in a fuel cell. I have the neck and hoses if you're interested.

OK, I gotta ask, why is that kit worth more than double (nearly tripple) what it would cost to get the two small hoses from your local parts store for about $6, and that fuel rated $20 large elbow from Yogi's?

Is it the clamps? Better get the special tool for those too.

not sure what"parts store"you are using, but last i checked, they do not carry pre bent elbows in that size that are fuel resistant.heater hose will bolt up,but will deteriorate shortly there after.

The small ones are pretty easy.

it's the big one that you can't find.

I even asked at a Caterpiller dealership!!

If you're doing concours, then I agree, but for a driver (even a really, really nice driver)...why not save that $50?

I think $125 is more than worth ever having to mess with that miserable gas tank/filler neck design ever again!

Awfully optimistic, aren't you.

Never?? I doubt it, but those crimp on clamps in the high dollar kit guarantee those will need messed with and replaced if anything else needs looking at.

Nice find GPuller. Added to bookmarks.

A member over on 66-67charger found them, I can take the credit. I plan on replacing my tank this winter. No fancy OEM correct stuff for me, regular hose clamps will work just fine.

What makes you think they won't last another 45 years? The originals were fine but I needed to pull the gas tank and hacked them off. Do you squeak when you walk?

I don't get the personal insult...and I don't need a pissing match.

Spend what you want to spend.

I'll just have one more steak dinner that you won't.
(and I won't need to "hack off" anything if I ever need to work on my gas tank)

Lighten up it's a phrase my Grandpa used for tight asses...just having fun all opinions welcome as you know.

I hate messing with stock gas tanks on 66-67 b-body cars hence my opinion on the subject.
