Hi everyone what was the original color of the rear lower shock bracket was it left natural or painted also what was the original color of the front and rear shocks thanks

I cannot say 100%, but for the 68 to 70 model year B-Bodies, they were just a left in there as forged state. My suggestion is if you can locate a set that is not all pitted up, then clean and coat with RPM to retain the more natural look of the metal.

Have you used this product before? Does it leave a dry finish? Or is it like a gel coating?

RPM will dry matte or natural finish, its not greasey or anything.

One thing that I like to do is soak parts in Evaporust. It's amazing what comes out sometimes. On my 68 I think the lower perches are not painted but rather phosphated.
