Putting original brakes back on GTX, got rotors and callipers and spindles from my brother’s 68 gtx the calipers were rebuilt and I machined the rotors. When I got the rotors and removed the bearing races, there was 1/8 shim under the inner bearing race which I found strange. note that the parts could have came off 2 different 68 gtxs. after removing the shims installing the rotor with bearings and tightening it up there was slack Then I added the 1/8 shim to the inner bearing race that were previously there the results were it locked up the pads . I added the 1/8 shim on the spindle then installed the rotor with bearings put the calliper back on and everything is perfect. The outer bearing and race are LM194910 and LM11910 the inner bearing and race are LM67048 and LM67010. on the rotor, where the machined area for the inner race goes 1.250 to the top of the hub. There is no markings on the spindle. There is a number on the rotor as in the pictures. The callipers were rebuilt by John Stuart. I must have the wrong rotors for this spindle. I’ve been out of game for over 30 years, Previously I’ve owned an automotive shop for 16 years. Sold it in 1996. thanks, Perry.
