I'm looking to change my column shift 67 belvedere over to a 4 speed and was wondering is the steering columns would interchange between 67 and 68. I have a 68 floor shift column readily available and it would be nice if it just dropped into place. Both vehicles are power steering.

Worst case, I was wondering if the collar where the 67 shifter is located is similar to the 68 collar. I could always tear the 68 column apart to get this collar as long as they match length and diameter wise.

Any input would be helpful.

I did a visual comparison of these two years once, and found mostly some slight style differences on lower portion. Lenghts I recall being the same but a tape measure will settle that. Mounts are same, as I recall.

They should be identical, as long as it's standard column to standard column.

Check the part numbers in the parts books.
